Orienteering race (Jukola) 2:03:04 [4] **** 17.57 km (7:00 / km)
ahr:156 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s 2.0

Run felt pretty good for the most part. Had a ton of small misses which added up heaps over 33 controls. But for one of my first runs in Europe with a little less then ideal sleep, I'm pretty happy with it. Probably didn't run hard enough, as it was hard to give that extra effort when I was already overtaking everyone I saw out there quite easily and knowing that I had a fairly long course. So much fun though. Heaps muddy running last. Can also say I didn't get into a train following someone like I was expecting, although did have some following me for tiny sections. I suppose that's kinda positive. Would have been a completely different race starting about a hundred or so places earlier.
Didn't get a great warm down cause I had to pack hastily in order to grab a lift with the malungs boys. And avoid the rain.

Run through central park with BJ, Muzza and Ev.

Orienteering race (Forssa Games) 44:40 [5] **** 6.1 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s 2.0

Felt pretty slow through the terrain. Didn't quite have the legs to smash it through the terrain, plus it was quite physical with the undergrowth and logs everywhere. Having run 33km since arriving in Helsinki didn't help. Had an awful control 5, where I must have run straight past and been able to see the control, but the map seemed weird there and I thought I still had a fair bit to go. Lost round 10min. Last 3 controls I had Minna Kaupi on my tail so my splits improved a little there.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s 2.0

Running 20:00 [3] 4.78 km (4:11 / km)
ahr:157 shoes: Altra Instinct

First run in Europe. Felt pretty cool, quite smooth, a little like how it feels after getting off a treadmill, like you're moving quicker then you should be. Beautiful weather, and nice little area.

Orienteering 54:46 [3] 7.45 km (7:21 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s 2.0

Met up with BJ, Anna, and Venessa and went out to one of the Jukola training maps at Lambo. Went with BJ and switched the map over at controls, so I navigated on 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 12. Actually Orienteered reasonably alright, was just terrible in the circle a heap of times. Like was standing on the other side of the feature and just not seeing the control.

Running warm up/down 18:19 [3] 4.02 km (4:33 / km)
ahr:136 shoes: Mizuno Wave Universe 4

Orienteering race 13:13 [4] 3.1 km (4:16 / km)
ahr:162 shoes: Mizuno Wave Universe 4

Did an easy enter on day event. Did a few stupid things, one where I got stuck in a fenced off area which wasn't mapped. Running felt good though.

Running warm up/down (Back to BJs) 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Universe 4

Garmin got flat for this, but that'd be a fair guess.
