Really good session tonight. Actually felt like I was on a par with some of the greens. Lots of running with exercises in between and I was managing to keep up wit the greens.

Must be getting stronger. I'm just worried that with all this extra all-over muscle bulk my running is going to get as slow as Keith's. I'll just have to hope he gets some muscles soon too.

Set off aiming for Bomo beach, intending to jog down the Bourne valley, do some barefoot intervals on the sand, and jog back up Branksome Chine.

Got as far as Talbot Heath and bumped into Gavin, Dale and the WSX training group about to start their 1km hill loops of the heath.

So I decided to join them.

4 laps of their 1.05km loop with a steepish climb and descent en route. Jogged/walked 500m around the loop between each rep so the climb would be in a different part of the loop.

Sun's out, temperature in double figures, 2 weeks left in Poole. Celebrated these facts by doing a nice long run taking in some new paths.

Out over the Bourne Valley heath, Turbary Common, alongside the dual carriageway to Bear Cross, Stour Valley Way, Canford Magna, Stour river path, Castleman trailway into Broadstone, Dunyeats Rd, Canford Heath with a few ups and down thrown in to push the legs a bit more, then back along the Bourne Valley again.

Hit an energy low at about 70 mins after trudging along the tarmac and hard-pack of the old railway and through B'stone, but perked up again as I reached Canford Heath.

Nearly at the 1000 mile marker in these shoes.
