Run - Road 42:20 [3] 9.8 km (4:19 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoom Vomero+ 5

Steady trot up to the Downs, around, and back again. I'm liking the temperature at the moment (about 8-9C). Still feeling the pain from the other night's torture ball session.

shoes: Inov8 Roclite 295

Just about caught the end of the daylight today. Really must get out and run first thing in the morning, otherwise I get caught up doing other things and end up running in the dark.

Rocking out to GnR again, this time around Blaise, wiggling my way around the once again very wet and muddy paths.

Run - Road 1:08:17 [3] 16.11 km (4:14 / km) +177m 4:01 / km
shoes: Nike Zoom Vomero+ 5

On my own, rocking with G'n'R around the GWR 10 mile route. WoT - Shitehampton - BVR - Henleaze.

Felt rather awkward and stiff after last night's ball session, especially the hammies and abs. Felt like I was running quite slowly, but I was pleased to see I wasn't actually any slower than usual.

It was warm today. Warm enough for my shorts to come out again. Too warm for the long-sleeve thermal, jacket, hat and gloves though.

Didn't see anything suspicious tonight either.

Note

I've just been catching up on the Joanna Yeates story that I've missed over Xmas. On Saturday 18th, the day after she was last seen, I walked with Laura around Ashton Court, having parked our car at the end of Joanna's road. After walking with Laura I went off on my own for a run, back to Ashton Court. My run took me along part of the road on which her body was found on Xmas morning, and as far as the news images show, I ran right past the very spot. If she was abducted on the night of the 17th, and her body dumped on Longwood Lane that night, that means I actually ran right past it without noticing.

I have just spoken to the police to tell them that I was there then and saw nothing. Seemed a bit of a silly call to make "Hi, I ran along Longwood road at 15.50 on the 18th but saw nothing unusual".

But the response I got soon allayed my worries of being pointless: "Thank you for your information Mr Britton; it is all useful information to have. You say you saw nothing unusual. Did you see a body in the verge at all?"

I didn't feel that my trademark sarcasm would have been an appropriate response in this instance, and I had to bite my tongue before I answered her question.

Core Strength 50:00 [3]

More ball action on the living room floor. I flicked further through the exercise book that came with the ball. It seems that last week I did the girl workout. Today I found the man session. Jeez, that was a tough one! Defo going to be in pain tomorrow.

Went letterboxing for 90 mins or so in the NF with mother, and took Tobydog from Justyn's.
