Orienteering 50:00 [3] *** 3.0 mi (16:40 / mi)
shoes: adidas triple star

More map reading training at FC North, a bit more emphasis on running than usual

Exercises/Stretching 40:00 [2]

Lots of stepper + upper body weights

Exercises/Stretching 30:00 [1]

Road Running tempo 50:00 [4] 6.0 mi (8:20 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 2110

Started off thinking I would do the usual 2x15min tempo runs. But in the middle of the second one, I tried "springing" up the big hill in the middle and wiped myself out (figuratively). There's clearly some core muscles that aren't as developed as they ought to be. I'm going to have to slip more of this sort of thing into my runs...

Exercises/Stretching 40:00 [1]

Still keeping with the MWF upper body emphasis

Orienteering 1:10:00 [2] *** 2.0 mi (35:00 / mi)
shoes: adidas triple star

Contouring and map reading at FC North. More snow and ice than I expected in the woods.

Exercises/Stretching 40:00 [1]

Road Running long 1:20:00 [3] 8.4 mi (9:31 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 2110

Lippit Bollinger loop, 1:15 -> 8:55 pace pretty quick for LSD pace. Felt pretty good except for ankles/achilles

Road Running long 50:00 [3] 6.0 mi (8:20 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 2110

Bollinger loop. A little tight after a few non-running days, but felt pretty strong. Could have been the unintended 'taper', or just getting better... loop time 46:00-- 8:12 pace--faster than usual.

Exercises/Stretching 40:00 [1]

Trying to stick to M/W/F upper body workouts

Note

I thought about logging all the ice-picking and shoveling to get the driveway clear for the potluck tonight, but that would only be a sign of desperation...
