JEC Long
The beginning and end sections were steep and technical rock forest and the middle section was fast and runnable sand dune-like terrain, so I could pick up the pace there.

I made a stupid mistake at a path junction on the long leg 5-6, losing me 30s. I then lost about 30s on control 11 by trying to navigate off vegetation instead of contours. I also lost about a minute and a half on 14 by not trusting myself, as I was running perfectly to plan before I thought I had overshot.

After that the guy starting 3 minutes behind me caught me up and I ran with him for the rest, taking it in turns to take the lead.

My stamina was better than I expected so to do better I should have picked up the pace more in the middle section. Also ironing out the small mistakes (navigating off the obvious large features where possible) would help.

Overall I was pretty happy though - 31st out of 55 finishers

JEC Sprint
Pegged it to control one so didn't make a routechoice to 2. That meant I ran about 10m towards a barrier before realising and had to run back to go down the alleyway.
4-5 was the next real routechoice and I decided just to carry on the way I was running and go round to the left. I definately have a bias towards just running the way I already was going.
Then the big leg 8-9 I started running after looking at just half of the leg so had to keep on the route I'd already started on.
Overall a bit mid. 42nd/57
