Got back from my run and could feel a small problem with the front base of the left shin just above the ankle. An hour later was very sore and swollen. Thought it might be tight shoes, but in retrospect seems to be a combination of running the hard session on Monday in my hard adidas trail racers then a long run in the soft and worn out hokas on Wednesday. Can't decide if it is a tendon injury or stress fracture but will give it 4 days healing time and assess again then. Self inflicted! Need those new hokas badly now!

Progressive first half leading into a 5.50 mile then steady on 7.00s whilst recovering. All on grass with twists and turns and little banks at keele. Better than expected!
