Very very minimal warm up, roasting

Wuoc middle
Started okay, felt quite steady and plan was to just navigate well focussing on exit direction, not think about speed. Still some small blips in the first few controls but knew I could do well if I kept the rest cleanish. Lost my direction on way to 7, was actually aiming off the the left and ended up pretty far right. Did see two of the 3 boulders but still confused how I would be over there. Anyway kept chugging along, getting quite hot now. Then around 9 really started suffering in the heat and lost all fight. Really struggled on any rough bits to lift my legs and also big mistake on 13, so just quite dissapointed. Hoping for some thunder showers on Friday in the long (plz)
So nice at the finish to have a dedicated person after download pouring a bucket of water over your head, genius idea

WUOC sprint relay, Seinajoki
Pretty basic.. by control1 I had sort of planned up to control 6! A bit disappointed that there wasn't more nav involved (though still had a little blip on control 15 in the park, running towards wrong building and bushy trees). Saying that, I wasn’t entirely sure how hard I could push myself since it was really hot (31?) and wasn’t sure how quickly I’d burn out. By the end had pulled us up a couple of places into 4th. Solid team performance and a good start to the week :)

Forest model
Seemed pretty typical Finnish forest, not super nice underfoot but okay. Also only realised afterwards it’s actually 2.5m contours which might have explained why I couldn’t see some of shapes clearly out there..

Tour de Arthur’s Seat with Ben and Jonny. Crags and Purkos, also taking a peek over MFD from the top. Fun fun, nice to see what everyone talks about on here!

Graduation yay!
Not much training this week but I’ve been walking loads every day and not sleeping quite enough so am pretty tired. Should be able to find more time to chill in next few days before world uni’s
