Running 45:00 [3]

Terrain Running. This was really nice. I mostly ran with Mikkel and Mark, who had some interesting talk on training priorities.

Joe Grant. I was absolutely exhausted during this, it was steep. The idea was to do a 9K course ( with something like 800m of climb!) but I was too exhausted. I chopped out the middle third of the course, and came back early.

Calero.
Drove down to meet the Aptos group at Calero. It was a nice day for a run, but about 2/3 way through I stepped wrong on a rock and strained my left Achilles. It felt very similar to what I did during the Fin-5. After that I backed off the intensity, and ran conservatively back to the car.

Running 27:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks (White Yellow Black)

After a 1/2 mile warm-up I did some lower speed pace checking at the track recording splits every 400m.
152, 150.0, 151.1, 147.0
Stretching
151.5, 140.1, 139.5, 138.4, 137.8, 150.6

Right now. 7:25 feels about like the pace I can keep indefinitely. 6:40 is a bit strenuous, but not too bad.

Nice jog, about a lap and a half around campus.

Running 30:00 [4]
shoes: Sauconey Grid 9s

I wanted something with low ankle risk, so I did a track workout. Jogged a mile, then did 400m intervals with 2 min rest 76.5, 76.9. 74.1, 80.8
Finished with a few more laps at 7-7.30 mile pace.
Really ran out of steam at the end and I'm definitely not in shape for the 5 minute mile yet, but maybe a 5.30 is doable. I think weekly speed work for maybe 6 weeks could really pay off.

Biking 55:00 [3]

Up and down.
I think the biking is good active recovery.
