orienteering race 39:00 [4] 4.07 km (9:35 / km)

BOC 2011 Womens Short Relay Leg 3.
Really enjoyed this, felt a bit tired from the day before. Mostly went ok apart from #9 where I struggled to find one of many depression, relocated off a fence, probably lost 3 mins.
11th for the team overall.

orienteering race 1:55:13 [4] 6.2 mi (18:35 / mi)

BOC 2011 W21 Long. First time I've done the Long at a major event. Going ok until #12 where I misread the map, didnt see a path on the map so turned down the wrong one. Realised something was wrong and managed to work out where I was but lost some time. Couldn't find the pit for #16 and lost a lot of time looking for it, paths were confusing as there were a few unmapped cycle tracks. Made a mess of #19 by trying to cut off a corner rather than going the long way round the paths but went off course and too far, relocated and had to cut back. Also lost my head at the second to last control, tired, with lots of people around.
Overall went ok apart from the 4 controls that went badly.
I did achieve my aim of not being last.

Loosener for the legs. Meant to do this quicker but my legs wouldn't let me. Beautiful sunny morning
