To/ from Blue Walls. I felt so weak on the hike up. Crazy. Stopped a few times and leaned against the stick clip. Didn't panic though.

Stellar day at Blue Walls
wu hanging draws on Cortical Suppression 12c. Sent it 2nd redpoint burn of the day. Whew. Hard one to execute at the top.
Sent Bullet in the Head 12d 3rd go. So psyched. It felt good to pull hard on that one, as opposed to the techy-ness of the other routes next to it.
Hiked down to Forgotten Trails and onsighted Trash Kicker 12a. Rad way to wrap up the day. Psyched to do the 12d so quickly, plus end w/ another route I wanted to do.

Rd/ gully loop. Legs ok, , low back a little stiff. By the end, though, I started feeling better. 4x 30 sec strides. Idk how psyched I could get to run on the rd more. Busy day on tap, so I stayed close to home.

Send v6 2nd go, flash a new 5. Climbed on new problems in the cave- big moves, big holds. Didn't rest much. Definitely felt a bit sloppy at the end.

Kind of random, uninspired wrap up to the gym sesh. Some other dudes were upstairs doing their thing, which made it strangely crowded. Whatever. Glad to get out of there w/out hurting anything. I'm likely cooked from the past few days- no surprise. Recover. Rip it on Fri.

Up in 81min, took a detour on the way down to check out Stella Lake. Perfect weather, but super windy last 1.7mi. So psyched to finally do this peak. Awesome trail first 2mi, and then runnable if you have the legs and lungs for good stretches the last 2.4mi.

Drank 16oz Perpetuem, 12oz water, Ate 1 gu
Stomach was good. Legs felt great on the descent. What a difference a week makes. Stopped halfway to Great Basin to sleep for 30min at a gas station. Got up at 2:30. Alarm was for 4:30. It worked out as far as missing traffic. I felt great on the run, despite so little sleep. Awesome day.

Forgotten Trails
wu 11c, 2 burns on Grumpkin 13a- can't do the crux 2 moves but boulder problem getting to it felt much better today. So that's what it feels like to not be able to do all the moves. Oh well.

Somehow onsighted Macedonia 12c- so psyched. Thought I was coming off 3x during the last 3 or 4 bolts. Just don't say "take" is the 1st step in onsighting. Did Your Onus 12a/b 2nd go, which was really cool. OS The Bleaker 11c to finish out the day and the skin. Great day, despite getting shut down on the proj, which isn't the proj anymore...for now.

Jupiter Peak loop from Sleepy Hollow with 2.4mi add on per BP on Keystone to Apex. I actually ran ok and made up some time on the last 2 miles. Really good mt. jog after a slow and lazy start to the day. It took me a while to get psyched to get out the door. Possible Grand Lake loop for a b-day run started a fire under my butt.

I'm just curious about recovery from these runs. Maybe a rest day jog tmw might help. Idk. I want to be fresh to crush on Fri.

Got in a 2 hour nap late AM/ early PM. Took C to the park, which always leads to some jogging and sprinting. Legs felt decent. Nice.

Decent hike/ jog from Albion Basin. Hit C's Pass to Sunset Pk, then back around through the CG back to the car. Shorter than I had planned, but my legs felt kind of worked. My running legs feel like they're coming around. Psyched to run 7:56 for mi5 at 9400'. It's terrain I've been on several times before but still a good morning.

OS 11a, 11d Under the Knife- one of the coolest I've done in that canyon. So rad!
2.5 burns on Code Blue 12d. High point/ One hung it on the 3rd burn. I didn't even finish it on the first burn. The goal was to OS it, and then get on Coitus 13a. The best laid plans of mice and men... Psyched to go back on Sunday ad send. Good rock, techy climbing. My legs and skin are wrecked.

2 hours at the gym. Flashed a couple new 5s, did another one I couldn't do before, and another that took me a few goes. Then, I tried a few v8s just to get some hard moves in. I also tried a v8 on the 45 and added a couple holds to let me get further up it. The goal was to do a few hard moves in a row.

Upstairs, I did 3x 10 plank push ups, leg lifts, 4 x 10sec crimp hang with 30lb. I also tried to press into a headstand from crow a few times. I'm making very bits of progress with that. My abs felt worked by the end. Decent session.

Randomly decided to jog/ hike Mt. Nebo (11,928') after thinking of it last night before bed and after a margarita and some wine. I woke before the 6 alarm and felt ok. I got on the rd by 7:30. It took me 90min to get to the TH.

I hit the highest summit in ~1h45m. I didn';t realize how long the summit ridge was I kept going another slow .5mi (~45min) with the intention to get on the south summit but turned around once I realized it was further away than it looked .5mi earlier. So, I think I tagged the highest point on the summit.

Either way, it was a fun day on a new peak. The first and last 3mi were on great singletrack. Perfect weather. I saw about 10 other people. I'm pretty psyched to have actually covered 10mi on my feet. A couple weeks ago I wouldn't have expected to be able to pull it off. Overall, my legs and lungs held up pretty well.

I ate 2 gus and 2 Clif Bars, drank ~14oz water and 18oz Perpetuem.

10c, send Sharkfighter 12b first go of the day. Did all the moves on Substance 12b hard. It's really good, but I'm over that area for a while. We went to Grey Cliffs, and I onsighted The Argument 12a, about which I'm really psyched. I went off route on a thin section and kept it together. There wasn't any chalk on the top half but I got it done- one of my proudest onsights even though it's on;y 12a. Good day.

From Alta Lodge
80min to Mt Superior (~11,050), then another 12min to Monte Cristo (~11,200) 2.95mi one way
Dilly dallied for a total of ~25min eating and taking pics. Cool and cloudy. Legs and lungs did fine.
I ran about 1/3, I guess. There was a fair amount of scrambling, which I usually don't dig. The mindset today was just "walking in the mts." Fun morning.

Drove down the canyon to the gym. Climbed ok- did some new 4s and 5s. Sent a hard 6 on the 45 wall I couldn't do the last moves on last time. I did it at the very end of the session. Crazy.
Finished with a 3min plank series, plus fingertip plank and superman push ups. Crow pose for maybe the longest I've ever done. Did that a few times, as well as a pressed out L (?) on the rings.
Great session today. What a day.

Unknown Pleasures- 10c, send Shadowplay 12d 3rd go of the day after getting to a new high point the previous 2 goes. So psyched and relieved. What a rad route. It was just an issue of beating the heat.
OS unknown 11c, flash 11b, and ended with OS of another unknown 11+/12-, which was amazing. Some of the best pockets in AF. Crazy. Up there for almost 9 hours. Incredible day.

So far the verdict re: mt jogging and climbing hard is that it's okay. My legs were sore this morning but warmed up well on the short but steep hike. Mentally, I felt like I was putting less pressure on myself to send, which is good b/c that can be a distraction. Anyway, psyched to run more in the mt.s and keep taking down climbing projects. Word.

Got to bed at 8 last night, up at 5:30 with B. Out the driveway by 6:30. Decided to hit LCC instead of BCC on the way there. Got to the TH in 22min- way better than 45+ if I'd gone to Brighton.

Hike/ jog to the lake in 55min 3.25mi. Ran out another .2 to check out a boulder and just hang out. The descent went better than expected, but still a little wobbly/ jello legs. I got down to 7:30mm pace a few times. It was good to just get out and into the mts. So amazing up there. Psyched to get out more.
