Becoming more philosophical about the forced break from running. Ride out this period of whatever it is. I have years of stretching to catch up on.

Easy spin. Nice job keeping it super easy. Read stuff online, listened to some music, pedaled in zombie mode. Nice one. I kinda felt how I do post-run mentally, which was cool. Body feeling ok. Maybe try to run a minute or 2 after work.

Lights out at 7:50 last night but wok at 2:10 and took about an hour to fall back asleep. Feel okay but low energy. Gray and fog outside. Spring...

Up Emigration in 35:45 w/out pushing it. Up Big Mt until snow 4.7mi from gate. Rode first/last 2mi of MoPi trail on the way down. Legs were good up the back of Little Mt. Felt way fitter today than last time up there. Tried to be sure to take in more calories throughout but still need to work on that. Cool and gray, not too windy. Fun ride that recharged the psyche. Thank goodness. Left knee was a little fussy at times but not bad. Keep stretching, foam rolling, doing yoga.

Did some stuff from the tight hips video. Back and hamstrings tight this AM, maybe from nordic curls last night. Loosened up though. Was nice to go at my own pace in the quiet. Decent sleep.

Maybe ride this weekend. Maybe not. Other life stuff going on. Just let it unfold, let my body heal or whatever it needs to do.

Run fail. I was able to job ok the first 1/2mi. Hips and lower back started to feel tight, so I stopped to stretch. When I tried to run again, my lower back wouldn't let me. So, I walked it in. Oh well.

On the bright side, I didn't have any knee or hamstring pain.

Did my lunge, core, push ups circuit with some KB squats and stretching thrown in. Felt decent. Just roll with it. Looks like I won't be training for a road 50k any time soon. It's not time yet. Exhale.

First time weight has been 136 since 2nd covid shot. Try to stay around this weight for a while to see if that makes a difference with the other body stuff.

On the "on," goal was low to mid 200w and mid 80s or less rpm. Was going to do 15 but left knee woke up barely on 14th rep.

Put on 80mm (was 70) stem yesterday, which felt like it helped. Back felt fine. TBD as the day progresses. Felt good to ride and breathe kinda hard for a bit.

Massage at 12:15. Hopefully, I can get these body issues resolved, so I can run again.

Left knee screamed at about 12mi, then nothing. Low back stiff after. Psyched to ride mostly pain free. Fun one. Psyched to ride more. Just need to get my bike fit and body in order.

Good job getting up. Legs ok but low back and hamstrings tight. Legs felt decent overall from basically rest day yesterday. 4x 30/30, 3x 8sec uphill bounding. Left knee was good. Kinda felt medial quad thing from the bike toward the end when I picked up the pace a little. Idfk. Maybe need to take at least 2 days off from run/ bike for a week or 2 to let things get back in order. Other stuff on my mind too. Tired of stuff hurting. Exhale...

Easy in the cold and wind. Legs ok. Left leg didn't get at all fussy until last 1/2mi and even then not that bad. Encouraging-ish run in terms of my body feeling better. Just trying to maintain some level of base fitness until I find something that gets me more psyched. Just get through the crazy spring weather.
