Major logistical exercising organising the whole of the family to get to the event. Long walk to start on such long courses seemed unnecessary since TD was perfectly fine very close to assembly.
Enjoyed the area much more than I thought I would. Master class in classic course planning - route choice/execution was the main skill tested and this was needed throughout many of the legs. Only thing missing was one or two really long leg(s) to test resolve. Very dithery on the transition leg back into Sheepleas - annoyed with that on an otherwise pretty well executed course.
Very tired at the end.

Children did well on the rather pleasant string course and enjoyed playing in the woods.

Forest sprint on The Nower.
Enjoyed it.
1 control (overgrown gully) ended up in a milling around exercise - lots of time lost (minutes).
1 control at the end of a climb had a lesser dither (15-30s loss?)

Otherwise quite pleased, especially once I'd got into the zone .
