EYOC Relay last leg , team 4th. Got handed over too in 9th so tried to tell myself that it didn’t matter and to just keep calm which seemed to work. No real mistakes just hesitations and in the circle stuff. Didn’t have much fighting spirit but kept going in the right direction. Didn’t see another person at all so got very shocked when I came into the run in thinking I was 10th and saw Hannah and Bethan waiting for me. They may be some photos on bristish orienteering of that and basically I was screaming at them what are they doing and they had to tell me I was in 4th. Very very hot

EYOC Long ( let’s not talk about the position). Set off quite slowly cos very complex map but got one ok. Then started to build confidence in myself so speed up to 2. 3 was the first long leg and I think I picked an ok route along some of the smaller paths but made a small error in the circle. 4 was pretty perfect. 5 pretty decent made another small in the circle error. 6 very slow did stop to help the American I had overtaken, but get again a dodgy in the circle. 7 slow but pretty good, took gel block on this leg. 8 decent nav, stoped to help an Irish and messed up in the circle. 9 2nd long leg, made a really bad route choice but exucted it well ( with only one 10 secs mistake) so didn’t lose to much, very hilly , stopped to help James ewart, also started to drop physically without realising but wanted to wait longer for next gel block. 10 pretty decent. 11 first really mistake lost 30 secs where I failed to contour round and was way to high but reset myself as I knew I was still doing ok. 12 everything gose to shit, couldn’t find the path I wanted to go on so changed plan but I think I had already ran to far and so got onto the wrong path and was circling around the wrong part of first relocating incorrectly as I didn’t think I could be that far off and eventually found some w18s who had a similar control and relocated off there’s , and so lost about 10 mins and the top 20. 13 could see from 12.
On a whole, after a cry and a scream I am not too mad as I went well from most I think the heat got to me at the end and I should have taken a second gel block but forgot. I am ready for another chance tomorrow and hearing others story’s it wasnt awful. Just quite frustrating really

EYOC sprint 6th. Pretty tricky couse which suited me well, although I made a couple of mistake and hesitations on 3 and 4 which I rekcon added to a minute. I felt as tho I had a lot more to give. Cant be mad with a podium finish which was the goal for this season but afyer after a shit winter season I thought it wouldn’t be achievable but glad to have made it happen. Lots of thoughts of what could have been after that. Very hot 37 degrees

Sprint training. Wu + sprintivles +cd. Did 4 controls and then break. Break length ranged but keeping it under 3 mins. Pace and nav pretty decent. Needed some controls out there. 35 + degrees. Got stuck in a thunderstorm at the end. Some points really didn’t seem like you could go through very dodge
