Better sesh today but still not up to pre xmas levels. Legs just deteriorated, couldn’t run much faster on the 2nd half.

Mainly happy with how I prepped for this sesh considering the amount of nigles and tightnesses I had in the legs. Really strict with the eating, fuelled as soon as I got home and was disciplined with no snacking whatsoever. Meant that there were no stomach problems at any point. Plenty of stretching and a minute of massage gun before it died. A good 15-20 mins of foot icing helped.

Might even be able to get back on a seat tempo tomorrow (or wed) :)

Pretty broken. Still snotty nose and feeling dead. Stomach wasn’t good towards the end. Right ball of foot quite sore, probs after running in spikes. Had to keep looking down at my feet to make sure I wasn’t running on the side of my foot and turning it in. A bit depressing because I really need to jump back on the training. Haven’t got the mental break from school I really needed this weekend.

National XC - 36th as a first year
Felt really quite unwell yesterday afternoon, headache and ears ringing, runny nose. Now I have had the worst stomach pain I’ve experienced ever since I’ve cooled down. Might be the post race dried apricots but I am really not in a good way, bed needed.
Actual race was pretty painful. Main team counter pulled out so we didn’t have a team. Started way too fast and faded drastically. Didn’t really fade position wise though. I need to get quick. Training appears to be going shit right now.

Jog with some fast strides which happen to coincide with segments. Efforts feeling fine up until about 20-30s when I have to breathe. Still snotty nose but at least the legs have some pop to them. There are absolutely no levels of excitement for national xc on Saturday.

Feeling so dead still. Went on the bike to make sure the sore foot didn’t get worse as I also kicked a chair leg right where it was sore today. Think I must be more ill than just a snotty nose. Body just achy and fatigued, might be a case of more sleep. Already fed up of school and everything that comes with it. Just generally feeling shit.
