Elite sprint - 19th 1:16 down on mister super speedy burger guy
List of excuses pre race was lengthy (kind of treated it like a rest day sprint because it’s the holidays init. Pre race prep included a lovely 46 mins of sleep last night (according to garmin) and lyra telling me when my start was). Anyway screw those excuses that was a pretty solid run all things considering. This oringen malarkey has got much more fun since yesterday morning.

Oringen #2 - H18E, something like 5th last
Woke up with zero mental resilience. Not been that emotionally vulnerable in a long time. Semi on purposely late to my start to try and shake myself off. Set off decently and somewhat cleenly. I spiked 6 but read the wrong control code due to quite severe tiredness. Gave up and walk jogged in. Not a good morning for me in any way shape or form. Felt better in the afternoon however.

Late for my start so was sweating buckets my the time I got there. Meant I was flustered and stuffed up 1 and 2 losing ablut 4 mins when people were taking 5 mins for both. Some really poor nav out there but the bits I did well were really good, just the bits I did bad I did really badly. Think the word “elite” made me think that I had to keep running at all times, even when I didn’t have a clue where I was. Really enjoyed just orienteering though, was good fun.
