Got roasted today by a kid who was in my group for handspring camp last week.
Context: The group begged me to show them my back handspring when I said I could do one, and my standing BHS was just abysmal. Didn't even land on my feet. (my roundoff + bhs was fine though)
Chatted with the kid from my group while I was stretching because she wanted to know if I was teaching a class. When I said I was just doing gymnastics for fun, she asked what I planned to do. I had no idea and said that, and she replied, "you should work on your standing back handspring".
I mean she's not wrong but ouch.
