No sites at either Dunewood (at the NP) or Indiana Dunes SP nearby. iOverlander indicated that overnight parking was allowed behind the Indiana Dunes visitors center, so that's where we headed. Got there right about Dim - well lit lot with a couple porta-potties and no one else in sight. A bit of nearby road noise and a few trains, but we've gotten accustomed to dealing with that. Overall all a nice spot to pop the top and sleep. $0

Note

Stopped at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne since the road went right by - bathroom break and stretch the legs while oggling all the nice toys. Very cool place as they carry pretty much all the gear and all the keyboards are set up and running so you can demo - big expensive workstations, basic synths, monsters like the Moog One and a few modular setups. Spent about 45 minutes here before hopping back on the road.

Ledges trail at Cuyahoga Valley NP. Cool trail. Clear, low 80s

Note

After visiting Cuyahoga Valley we waffled between staying at Silver Springs CG about 15 minutes away (I had stayed here both coming and going to California last year - nice county park) or driving on some distance to reduce the final push tomorrow. Opted for the latter - drove an hour or so, grabbed dinner at Panera near Akron, then another couple hours into Pennsylvania a ways to SB Elliott SP a short ways off the interstate - got there as the dim was setting in again, found a spot, paid up and went to bed. Getting pretty good at the routine by now. $21
