Training Log Archive: Sandy

I actually saw a juvenile squirrel this morning! I've always wondered why I rarely see them when there are so many squirrels around. This one was dutifully following a full-size squirrel around so I presume its mother. Saw the adult chase off another adult squirrel that was getting close while the small one stayed frozen in place. Once the other squirrel ran away the mother collected the small one and they continued nosing through the undergrowth. Perhaps the mother was teaching its offspring how to hunt and forage.
