Note
(injured)

Can’t book foot specialist until next week due to 4 days bank holiday ffs. Got 4 days of work coming up so will see how the foot copes with 8hours+/day on feet. Positives are that it is feeling marginally better today.

Foot a bit worse today. Managed to get appointment with doc, so hopefully can start the lengthy process of organising an MRI now.

Note
(injured)

Foot not good. Uncomfortable to walk around on. Doctors are all booked up as it’s half term which is annoying as need to get a referral asap. Will attempt a jog later and decide then if it’s smart to race tomorrow.

Running 2:37 [1] 0.58 km (4:31 / km)
(injured) shoes: NB 880v11 (Black)

This is a tough one. Finally after months of grafting and struggling, I finally feel fit enough to run a respectable race. But it’s not worth risking prolonging an injury, as frustrating as it seems. Started the run and instantly pain was at a 5/10 which is higher than it’s been on any run. Felt like I couldn’t put any power through my right side. Not going to speculate on what this injury might be, will just have to wait and see a specialist. All I know is about 6 weeks ago I started feeling some slight discomfort after and between runs in the same area, but thought nothing of it. About 2 weeks ago I began to feel it whilst running, and it has slowly got more noticeable over the last 2 weeks. Will take at least a week off now but probably more likely 10 days-2 weeks. I’ll start running again if I stop feeling pain, and hopefully I can hear back from a specialist and maybe get an MRI in that time period.

Note

Toe quite bad today, think will need to see someone about it. Planned break coming just in time by the look of things.
