O-training 1:19:26 [3] 7.52 km (10:34 / km) +160m 9:33 / km
shoes: Inov-8

Starting out the weekend training at Pawtuckaway with a red course on a hot and very humid afternoon. Navigating well in the beginning but then just not feeling great in the middle of the course, nauseous and dehydrated. Let myself slow down, no motivation, slugging to the finish.

Cross Training 54:10 [2] 5.02 km (10:47 / km) +1m 10:47 / km

Canoe-O with Alex. All I wanted to do was swim.
8 PM

O-training 1:45:53 [3] 10.09 km (10:30 / km) +142m 9:48 / km
shoes: Inov-8

Night-O! I was a little apprehensive before the start but this turned out to be a great experience and a lot of fun. Wanted to stay with Alex for the majority of the course but already at #1 I lost her :/ I cried a little and then continued on with JJ and other people to #2, leading the way, which felt nice. To #3 as well, moving well and getting to the control with only minor hesitation. Saw a bunch of lights to the right of the control and after I came to the trail, Sagi has caught up to me, probably after making a mistake at #3. We ran together and took #4 well but ran right by #5 and had to relocate. Ben caught up to us on the way to #6 and we accepted him into our group even though he tried to pull away. Decided to take Ben's plan crossing the pond in the middle on our way to #8 and although this was a good route choice, we did not execute it well and traversed a marsh and some greenery unnecessarily. After we finally got to the trail, we hit #8 without a problem. Trail to #9, picking safe attackpoints, 10, 11 Ok, saw JJ again. I was really tired by this point and just let the boys "carry" me to #12, at which point they dropped me and ran away to the finish.

Swimming 40:00 [2]

Joined my uni's gym again as an alumni in order to use the pool. I've been wanting to start swimming again b/c it is a good cross training exercise with minimal impact on my feet. I recently had a dream where I was swimming like a dolphin in the sea with many other people and then I was petting a fluffy bright pink whale. Butterfly style best approximates dolphin swim but I don't know how to swim butterfly, so this totally invalidates the truthfulness of that dream..
anyway, this was great and I plan to go here once a week.

Strength (pilates) 40:00 [1]

Skipping the planned tempo session this morning and playing it safe with pilates, which has little impact on the arches.

Running 37:52 [2] 6.32 km (5:59 / km)
shoes: Nike Lunaracer 3

Easy run to Verona park with Star Village map + Red course. Left arch not terribly happy with yesterday's workout but the pain is not bad at all, so will continue training as long as its not getting worse.
