Huge boom on #2 where I overran (by at least 150-200m) on a completely uphill leg (~19 min for leg). Hit several right on, so I felt good about the compass/map techniques I've been working on. Also getting better with the pace count (despite #2) as it's becoming more second nature.
Only other major bobble was @ #7, a control surrounded by 3 trails on which I refused to use any trail until too late. Lack of concentration.
Funny, though my time/pace isn't much better than my very first meet at FC, I feel I'm making progress (trying to stay patient). Judging from the number of high times throughout the courses, I believe this was a tough map/set of courses.

Went out again to work on off-trail. Still felt strong at end. Conditioning is getting better.
