Orienteering race 1:01:32 [4] 9.2 km (6:41 / km)

eGames, day1. Quite good run. And I think my shape is getting better too. Or at leat I could get more out of my body that usually, I was pretty wasted after the run, all evening.

Orienteering race 54:30 [4] 6.3 km (8:39 / km)

Firmaliiga, top most league. Our new top gun got flu and missed two out of three races but the ass kicking we did in the race he participated was enough, we won it all with a good margin.

Orienteering race 40:53 [4] 5.3 km (7:43 / km)

Husqvarna. Really poor run. I tried to woek on something something and it did not work out much at all.

After the knee injury I began to run carefully, slow down every time there is bad fooring, stony ground, downhill or anything. At first it waas OK since I really could not keep the speed up with my knee, but now legs are fine and this is just a habit. If I don't think about it and focus on keeping the pace up and maintaining speed over the two meter bad place I wihtout thinking about it slow down or even take some walking steps. It's annoying and I will not be able perform too well until this habit is gone. So I figured I should beging to work on this, and what would be better place to moving focus to pushing and keeping speed up than middle race at Sipoo. Well, it ended up being as good idea as it sounds. I made two big mistakes in the beginning, now when I look at them, inboth cases I did not do any plan, I did not read map ahead at all, I just with ruogh bearing pushed and tried to keep speed high. In second mistake I looked at map properly after passing the control. I ended up making over 4 minutes mistakes. I should have known I can't focus on two things at once. I guess from now on I will work on this outside competitions. Positive side, when I think I managed to keep the speed up a bit better, some downhill splits aren't that bad, and wihtout two big ones my speed would be good enough for 2nd place. And I even face planted four times, that doubles mu face planting count since the knee injury. Tells a lot how overly carefully I have been moving out there lately.

Orienteering 1:07:00 [4] 8.2 km (8:10 / km)

District champs, H21. 70 sec mistake at #10 and there goes a medal :( I had bad attitude for that flag, looks so easy with enough details around so one can't possibly miss it. Well, looks like one can...

No sleep, painkillers did not help, just kept on sipping ice water (cooling did the trick) all night and morning until 1pm when I get to dentist. After that visit painkillers did help and got some sleep.

Orienteering race 1:01:00 [4] 7.0 km (8:43 / km)

firmaliiga @ kattilajärvi. tough course. infernal toothache. I took lots of pain killers, not much help for the pain but also made me take it a bit easy - I felt like the usual all out would not be that healthy strategy at all with the inflammation and too much painkillers. Got around without heart attack.

I did not do bad from this perspective:
