Fin5, day 1

I started a bit carefully, knee felt ok so I tried to push a little on the way to #4. After maybe 200 meters my right calf refused to continue like that - no wonder, 7 moths without anything like that and several moths with no much weight on it or any exercise. But even if it did not feel or look like sprint running much at all I anyway could keep on going, and my breathing or fitness in general did not like it either, so I guess that my all out at the moment.

Note

Woke up at morning, noticed I could not get up from bed for back pain. I managed to get some ibu, sent note to work I feel like odds are fifty-sixty (like M. Nykänen used to say) will I show up at office today, slept 2 hours ore and tried again. Better, I could get walk and drive to work. 10 hours later back was back to normal. Just a cramp I suppose. Apparently knee is so good some other body parts may fall off before the knee gets damaged more.

Very very cool area. Never mapped, but used for O in the 60's with (state base map "peruskartta"). Mostly young open foreses so no much clear cuts expected anytime soon.

Note

2.5h "indoor orienteering". I quickly sketched map of our home, rooms and furniture. Then with Topias in turns placed "a control" and tried to find it with the map. No misplaced controls (unlike Suunto Games the same day), Topias placed controls perfectly every time. After about an hour Topias decided to make extension to the map, he added terrace with furniture and half of the the backyard, apple trees and a toy bucket and fallen plum tree (we had strong winds two days ago). Topias said even if it is fallen he wanted to map it because it is so big. Good enough for me, my part wasn't that ISOM compliant either really, mapping loudspeakers is equally questionable. This quality map extension made by a 5-year old was used heavily for the rest of the session. Lots of fun.
