Orienteering race 59:01 [4] 8.2 km (7:12 / km)

FinnSpring, H40A. I was a bit worried how this will go because I haven't done any orienteering in months, but it all went as usual. My fitness isn't really that bat either, I am just carrying way too much extra weight.

Orienteering race (sprint) 16:47 [3] 3.02 km (5:33 / km)

"Kuntosuunnistus", not an real race, at Kivenlahti. I can't see map, can't read map, don't understand map. And I don't even try to run hard.

There is no much of any contrast between forbidden to cross symbols and pavements/paths you are supposed to run. Sprints would be fun with decent maps. And cutting rings and lines between controls would do no harm so one could actually see if one can pass or not, if not during the race for issing contrast but at leas at home with magnifier.

Other warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Warm up, jumpping up and down a bit in WC line. No other warm up or down.

Note

Summer tires. Actually changed a bit more than just tires. Just need to remember to fill tank up with diesel from now on. Missing air conditioning and coming summer trip to Sweden/Gotland was used as a exuse to pull the trigger to replace the old but just OK car. It was just 10 years old and just 200 000 km behind after all.

Note

Has anyone tried this?
http://www.sportablet.com/

If yes, can you use it to get the data from your 305 and post to AP?

edit: works well on my asus tablet & fore 205. Now someone should write some sort of quick route for android. Should not be too hard, I wrote something like that for harmattan in a couple of nights.

Note

http://blogit.hs.fi/myrskyvaroitus/2013/04/04/term...

So, if meteorological spring begins at week 16 (15.-21.4.) and snow dissappears from forest 4-5 week later, it means snow is gone about 17th May.

Note

I did three easter trainings with ambit and gps pod. Comparison of elevation profiles here (red=baro):
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KC63QgeZYUk/UVv...

Climb reported by movescount: baro - gps
43m - 51m
135m - 141m
137m - 129m

Gps pods elevation values and profiles are pretty good. And a lot lot better than values from AP's elevation correction plugin, DEM it uses is prety poor aoround here.
7 PM

Running long 2:02:46 [1] 20.09 km (6:07 / km) +336m 5:38 / km

My first long run since spring 2010, I think. Poor elevation data, maybe because I started without waiting for sat fix.
