5:30 am ish start near the summer solstice meant no lights needed!

I brought maps, which enabled exploring some of the other options in a few places.

Hit our 4 mph target, even with a granola bar stop at Baseline Lake, and two driver changes. We thought we should let Angel try to steer but that boat with me in the front and her in the back does not stop turning. In contrast, with her in the front and me in the back, it does not start turning, which is at least easier to manage.

Some energy waning after 3 hrs so we should try to get slightly more paddling fitness for August. Or sleep and let Mari do the work.

Wanted to brick it up a bit so we ran the monster Teahen up and thought about Torn Shirt but couldn't figure out a good shortening option, so explored Murray Lake, with one stop and try a hill again to work on rooty climb skills.

Pace doesn't sound like much, but on a POS bike pulling a trailer and four year old, HR suggests an honest effort.

I wish I had grabbed HR. Turns out if you are in a hurry and put the retention clip for the Wee Hoo on the underside, it will squeeze the brake.

(1) nav error on the improvised distance padding since we got out on time. Somewhat warm.

This is possibly faster, given it's only nine minutes each way and I shortcut the 30 car drop off line, which even at a 30 seconds per kid in groups of four adds up, and I'm not sure they are at 30 seconds per kid. Google claims four minutes by car, but that is highly light dependent (well I suppose mine is too).

There is a "Run DTP Camp", where people show up at the gravel track behind the house and rack up points for each lap by each person. Harvey and I were in for three, conducted as a series of sprint intervals and recoveries, while K did two laps, each at nearly the pace of our dash and walk laps.

Camp location is ridable, but has a few less ideal features. It does cross five lanes at a light, but pedestrian signaled. Then there is a 75 yard stretch with no sidewalk, but it's good AR training. Then crossing that road to the entrance was a couple minute wait again. Back is not bad since I'll ride in traffic without Harvey.

Defensive riding is definitely the order of the day. Does anyone stop at stop signs? I'm sure they all rage if a bike runs one.
