planned to set myself a 'short' route of approximately two hours, maybe a little more, then collect a few kites for Paul afterwards, but going was slow and also decided to take the one up nr the Totley Trig, so closer to three hours thant two, was struggling to move my legs by the time I came to descend from White Edge, difficult to run even downhill through Curbar, kite collecting was hard hard work

dragged myself out into the cold, uneventful, various niggles (sore inner quad, bruised ankle, and so on) proved no impediment

pace as fast as some so-called 'tempo' runs on this route, don't know what to make of that

woke with bruised elbow and hobbling with aggravated bruise on ankle, from the fall at the end of yesterday's race, also v tired, so opted against run, iced the ankle
