shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212b

EML Birchen Edge, Brown
good physical course, got caught in a hail storm for 10mins which with short sleeves and no thermals effected morale as well as core-temperature (lost about 1min), no misses, apart from running to the wrong boulder at #6 (didn't check map)

4th, 9.5mins behind Richard Robinson

Birchen Edge

Orienteering long 41:55 [4] 6.11 km (6:52 / km) +180m 5:59 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

YHOA Night League
testing out the contact lenses at night: okay, more trouble reading the CDs in the glare of the lamp, careful run, tried to up the pace when there was some path running, definitely not 100%

3rd, 6.5mins behind Richard Robinson, but ahead of Martin, Ant Squire, and Chas :)

running 31:03 [3] 7.09 km (4:23 / km) +30m 4:17 / km
shoes: Inov8 Race Ultra 290

Darley Churchtown and back
there comes a point where you cannot tell if your lethargy is due to the cold you've been suffering, a bad mood, or because you've missed training, forced myself out and determined it was a combination of all three and I'm spluttering a bit right now

Wednesday Feb 6, 2019 #

Note
(sick)

still ill, frustratingly mild symptoms, but enough to keep me from pushing it

Tuesday Feb 5, 2019 #

Note
(sick)

agh, cold symptoms again, no way I'm running today

Note

Dad died last night. The end came sooner than expected and it could have been worse, but cancer squeezed the life out of him. He was a champion fella and had the medals to prove it. I'll miss him.

6 PM

running 1:29:26 [2] 12.69 km (7:03 / km) +160m 6:38 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Claw 275

Buckland Hollow, Pentrich, Shaw Wood Farm, Lodge Hill Farm
very easy and a lot of pfaff finding the route (because our navigator ran into a fallen tree and broke his nose and I couldn't read the map without glasses)
