Stanton Spirals
gorgeous day, ground firm, but not hard, felt good and started briskly, but the paced slowed over the climb from the lower wood

running warm up/down 19:51 [3] 3.42 km (5:48 / km) +15m 5:41 / km
shoes: Inov8 Race Ultra 290

Forty Acre Wood
steady run around the route to make sure it was passable and then easier following the lines of the new extractions lanes to assess the extent of the map up-dates required: I'm tempted to say they've improved the wood

running intervals 18:46 [5] 4.0 km (4:42 / km) +20m 4:35 / km
shoes: Inov8 Race Ultra 290

2 x 2km, off 90secs: 8.38 8.36

the path was a bit tricky at the far end (mud), tried the route clockwise for the second interval, the start isn't as fast but the muddy back straight is probably quicker because downhill

running warm up/down 6:20 [1] 0.62 km (10:13 / km) +10m 9:27 / km
shoes: Inov8 Race Ultra 290

jog around another extraction lane as a sort of recce-cum-warm down

Middleton Moor, Cromford, High Peak junction, Black Rocks
relatively dry route, steady pace, but seven mins of not moving, some earlier looking at the star map on Greenhill, laboured up the High Peak trail
