Orienteering race 59:38 [5] 9.37 km (6:22 / km) +150m 5:54 / km
ahr:158 max:167 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

EM League, Stanton Moor, Brown
course length 7.3km
good run, not surprising really given my familiarity with the area, caught Chris Millard at one and led him around probably going slightly faster than I should've done, slowed up just after the half hour, calf tightened up on the way to 25, Chris burned me off on the penultimate leg, wore glasses for first time, no problems, lost up to 30secs by falling over a lot

#3 didn't find the best line through the steep slopes [20]
#4 couldn't see the flag when in centre of circle, paused to check descriptions [10]
#7 slightly left, hesitated looking over precipice of steep re-entrant [10]
#16 came in around the back but the rocks were v slippy [10]
#19 erred to the left to attack off the knoll [10]
#20 red line passed straight through 23 so visited that first [30]
#25 should've taken the path after the nine maidens, bracken [10]

4th, 8mins behind Andy Llewellyn, 3 behind JD and Anthony Squire

Forty Acre Wood
3 x 2km, off 90secs: 8.19 8.30 8.35

very pleased with this, ran 10-15 secs slower last time here, set off too quick on the first, other than that quite an even pace

running warm up/down 7:08 [1] 0.41 km (17:24 / km) +5m 16:24 / km
ahr:131 max:145 shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 245
