Orienteering race 48:26 [5] ** 8.95 km (5:25 / km) +235m 4:47 / km
ahr:156 max:171 (sick) shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 7

Matlock Urban, Men's Veteran
still coughing and sniffling, but wasn't going to miss an urban race on my own turf, turned out the cold didn't spoil the race, heart rate appears to be in the zone, a couple of sub-optimal routes, and almost overshot #1 because I was planning ahead (and was preoccupied by the prospect of a very slippery paved path)

(course length 6.2km and 200m)

5th, 4mins behind Chris McCartney and 25secs from Murgatroyd, guess my speed was effected by my cold

Bottom Moor
needed to check what the FC had done to the wood before next week's activity so perfect opportunity for a recovery type run, nice evening

(A: FC have improved the area by cutting down 8% of it.)

Orienteering race 46:57 [5] 6.7 km (7:00 / km) +210m 6:03 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 7

Kendall Urban, Veteran Men
good course (for an urban) and better performance physically, caught by Nigel Bunn (4mins) on way to #15 and decided to hang on to him, which made for a short break at the timed crossing! faded coming back up the hill, but rallied on the way down, lost sight of Nigel in the yards on the penultimate leg

17th (5th M45), 5mins behind Dave Rollins
