as expected ten mins longer than last year, clean run apart from going thigh deep in the marsh and wondering if I would get out, lost 20-30secs on that route, ran half the course around a group of SHUOC lads which helped keep me honest

9th, 20mins behind Nathan Lawson

distances estimated as Suunto was discharged :(

planned to set myself a 'short' route of approximately two hours, maybe a little more, then collect a few kites for Paul afterwards, but going was slow and also decided to take the one up nr the Totley Trig, so closer to three hours thant two, was struggling to move my legs by the time I came to descend from White Edge, difficult to run even downhill through Curbar, kite collecting was hard hard work
