Monsal Trail Park Run
wanted to do this to set a marker for Sprint champs training; new course is slower, with the climb now all in the second half; started steady and was pleased to do 3.47 for the first km, but was passed by six or seven over the next km or so, cadence dropped at the turn and didn't really put in a finish, worst time I've ever done but then I've only done four (plus two around the twisty Whitworth Pk)

too long for me, as anicipated, had no legs after 45mins/5km, the last 3-4km was a mix of walking and easy running, lost a chunk at #8 when I missed the plateau I was aiming for an dropped too low adding 25m of climb to the leg

fantastic area, and a tidy run, ran out of juice after 35mins faced with a leg straight up a re-entrant (40m ascent), plodding after that, small miss within the circle at #12 confused by an unmapped thicket, so glad I came

felt okay, start wasn't as furious as expected, out in front of my gaffle until the turn (#9), fell over twice in quick session on stones approaching old railway (nice bruise above right knee), followed Martin to the gap in the fence but chickened out and went back up and through the tunnel, losing 30secs

tough again, almost ground to a halt at #9 (just over halfway), missed path route to #2 and after experiencing the choss opted for the track to #4 (but terrain was good there), route to #10 might've been good had I run when I reached the path, annoyed by control placement for #15, higher up the re-entrant and not in the centre of circle
