Orienteering 1:11:50 [4]

On paper looked like an interesting course and so it proved to be.

Leg1 - a huge temptation to head down the road which was a huge deviation. Still not running fit I elected to go straighter but avoiding boulder areas, based on better catching and aiming features. Near the top of the hill I saw the big rock surface on the left and then hit my control 9 to confirm my position.

Leg 3 Hit straight on. On the way saw people searching too low and was not distracted by them.

Leg4 -8 Routine and not distracted by the weekend cowboy's spinning their monster 4WD wheels deeper into the mud.

Leg 9 Drifted to right while managing to convince myself it was still OK. Finally when all the slopes were going the wrong way I corrected (losing about 2m).

Leg 10 to end 6 short technical legs perfect for a foggy brain after a long run.
Happy with the end result, both my running and orienteering have improved.

Gnanga to Midland.
Why not make the most of the scarp downhill after the orienteering, inspired by the TDF?
Unfortunately there is also a lot of uphill on the way, starting straight of the map to the highway. After the orienteering I felt every single climb which substantially slowed my average speed. This pain was made up for by the seriously enjoyable downhill sections, with long sections over 45k and over 60k through Glen Forest

Ride to Vic Park and back. Reasonable time considering all the trafic lights

Quick run up the coast infront of the storm.

Before I even start playing I turn around and tweet by back. I play through it, however I will pay for it in the next few days.

To Trigg then up the coast to Mullaloo and back. At a faster pace than for quite a few months. Antibiotics I started taking this week may be starting to work. Cool air but wonderful sun and majic views.
