Running (road) 1:00:00 [3]

As I skipped last weeks 15-man relay to spend some quality time with my basement, the season ended with NAOC and that was the perfect way to do it. It left me with a good mood and a lot of motivation for next season. October has for long been a season of low activity and my basement will need more attention for some time. But next year..., well we'll see if there will be any time for training when the family grows...

I started keeping this log in order to be embarrasingly honest with myself. Meaning that when I start preparing for the Finnish night-o champs, coming up in less than 11 months, I can come back to this log and get any hopes of performing grounded to a realistic level. Thus I would perhaps understand that I have to do my own race, focus on navigation and by avoiding mistakes do as good a race as I can. Fat chance!

I'm loggong here because I thought no one would be reading. However, there is a little counter on the bottom of the page, and during the past week of inactivity it has been ticking away impressively, adding to the embarrasment at least. Well hello everyone, sorry to disappoint you! This is as much as it will be; a few good weeks and several empty periods completed with occasional running along the beautiful small roads in the vicinity. I'm not logging the time spent swimmong or doing gymnastics with my daughter (although it leaves me exhausted). Its entertainment more than training.

Anyway, for next year I'll be aiming at the said night-o champs, the 43-relay (where putting the team together is half the challenge), not making a complete fool of myslef in Jukola and defendign some of the club champs I managed to grab this year. Preparations started about today...
