Probably the last orgaized circuit training this winter. Actually winter ended yesterday and the streets are filled with a wet, cold and heavy snow-slurry. It's probably melting quite fast but running is for the moment quite difficult. Perhaps it's better in Beijing?

Dammit! I found a problem in my basement that I'm renovating. Got both scared and depressed and lost all appetite for training....

Luckily it isn't probably quite as bad as I feared but it will take a lot of work to fix, and money...

Orienteering race 13:30 [5]

Sprint club champs. Starting at the end, I had some (a lot) benefit from the trails in the 30 cm of snow. Nonetheless, some parts were really difficult. I lost an astonishing full minute at the end, quite surprisingly.

I had the strangest blackout at one of the controls. I didn't understand the map sign, nor the definition. An all black square - what is that? I haven't had one of those controls for very many years.

First try at this short test-run. As I didn't quite know the course nor my own shape, I took it quite easy. I felt I had more to give all the way. I also got quite alone halfway and lost some speed without a back to focus on.

It shouldn't have taken that long but it was slippery and I stop to talk to Salme for some time. First real running exercise in some time, however.
