Holmbury LOK SE Champs - Green
Started and realised I did not have glasses or a magnifier. However, did wear new O shoes that have 8mm heel, plus full length built up insole, plus heel wedge!
2 hesitant.
3 long leg & dying on the uphill run and pointlessly tried to cut corner -30s, then couldn't find depression another 90s.
5 spring lower downhill than on map, no time loss.
6 took a chance on my sense of direction and compass needle and stopped 5m short of depression, nice!
9 didn't see detail and some of it appeared wrong and overshot -90s.
10 aggressive route & sense of direction, spot on again.
11 saw Mikhail and guessed we had same control but I couldn't see detail and it sped me up when my morale might have waned.
Lost 30s standing still MR, another 30s for hesitation & 30s RC. Say 3+ mins for glasses (10 definitely due to eyesight, 3 can't say). Sub 50 with glasses is better than I would have expected.
Physically good in the terrain, but hyperventilating shuffling uphill on the track to 3. Lovely area if you know where to run.

Shoulder too knackered.

2 min on 30s off. Hamstrings better than last time and eventually they became tired. Need to do these more often to raise effort level.
