Silva Great Lakes 3 Day - Day 1 - Cafe Class 10th from 230 fast walking and on a par with last year when running!? Only reason I think was my RC up Catbells from the NW not N was quicker and some others drawn to mine road rather than incline at Honister.
Dead leg started to complain within an hour.

MLS Pyestock Score 24 from 25 - 79.53
Didn't take more than a minute before I got bored just walking and shuffled for the next 50 mins. Still can't bend leg much so going downhill, climbing over or ducking under things or jumping ditches is limited.
Start to 10 took 26 mins, and only 5% slower than C Lovegrove.
MR fine on all but 2 controls in the same areas as last time and lost 5 mins.
Leg painful after an hour.

Have new purple bruising around knee and yellow just below, both through no impact. Probably downward movement from thigh according to MIE.
Surprisd to loose a noticeable amount of weight recently just walking. Encouraging if it's not a mirage

Leith Hill CP - followed nose NE and found some great W-E small paths and cleared areas until cricket ground and looped S. Turned out to be a great circuit with lots of variety.
Thigh, hip & adductor (compensating at stiles) sore by 1.75 hours. Really unsure about next weekend- no doubt I'll go and play it by ear.

Now the surface bruise on thigh has reduced in size, there appears to be a hematoma between the surface and bone. Hopefully it gets reabsorbed in the next few weeks and no compartments were damaged.

Thursley & Hankley Commons - snowy film set being created at Skyfall Lodge location only 400m another scene where the "snow" shows no sign of disappearing after a fortnight.
Thigh was fine until I stepped down 0.5m from the end of a bridge and there was major stabbing pain from within the muscle- odd sort of injury.
Tired by the end. ATM walking fast is not efficient. Must be a sweetspot that I've yet to find.

Leg swelling yet to decrease and starting look like there is muscle damage too. Certainly hit the hard ground hard, perhaps a lump of embedded sandstone.

Leith Hill Place OK Nuts - Blue retired at 11 (halfway)
1. 2mins, aiming off uphill until seeing wall to drop onto. Didn't see there was an earlier wall!
7. 15s was looking for it on S foot not W foot of spur.
40m short of 11, fell heavily (large brashing) going downhill and took diving flyer onto hard uneven ground. L thigh, forearm & little finger (wrapped round bike garmin) took impact. Nothing broken but blood thinners fuelled the bruising.
Annoyed as after 1 my navigation was clean and moving well given very physical terrain. HR even higher than BOC.

Warm Up 8:00 [2] 0.8 km (10:00 / km) +50m 7:37 / km

Uphill run fast walk to start, 50s to spare.

MLS Windmill Hill - Blue 5.9k 225m
Lost 2.5 mins at 9 going to wrong side of triangular clearing to attack from. Otherwise perhaps 3 x 15s if that. Took some aggressive RC that I doubt many took. Interested to see from routegadget if any paid off. Area was at its best and even the walk was generally runnable.
Pre-run stiffness disappeared, though R knee felt rickety.

Still very sore after Sunday, back, hips & legs. Probably result of fall last Wednesday and running on dry chalk paths. Pushing mower, did lower back muscles no favours!

NT "Boxhill Hike" Trail - 2k extra Wore race weight trail vest and trainers
Need to ease off once HR reaches 150 for longer events. Lightheaded after 40mins & hands swelled again.
Had so many vague routes in mind and saw this signed trail. Good skeleton to build some long hilly routes around.
Identical time to July 21 pre-SGL3D test run, yet covered 1.2k more height/dist today- surprising.
