Swimming 13:30 [3] 0.4 km (33:45 / km)

Lido - First day of summer season and bought a season ticket, sunny, much warmer in than out. Shared the lane with a half human, half walrus, with whiskers and body to match. He flattened a lady who didn't understand the clockwise lane system. No sign of his Harley Davidson in the car park afterwards.

Seem to have acquired a six leg kick without a wet suit, two with, never noticed it before. More an effort to keep horizontal than any attempt at a fancy technique, which is as it should be according to Swimsmooth.

No swimming - precautionary. Calf mildly aggravated, maybe 2 days on and one off is required with extensions, it was the alternative plan, now I know why!

Swimming 25:00 [3] 0.8 km (31:15 / km)

Lido (ws) - 100wu, 3 x 100 av 2.00, 2 x 200 4.13 & 4.14. Pool 22 degs & sunny.
So much easier in wetsuit, times all within 1s except slow first 100 (2.03).
A swimathon was in progress 12 x 1k, a 1000m every hour in under 30 min. Some very fit swimmers and not a wetsuit in sight! Open to teams of up to 12, something to aim for next year in a biggish team.

Around a dozen walk, shuffles. Decided against O and then found lido was closed due to chemical imbalance!

SSP(50) - Second time in a week makes so much difference, did a 2.18 during session. Usual improvement when I get tired and fully relax. Calf on the limit from this morning.

SSP(50) - Only had 18 minutes before pool closed. It was long enough after a long tiring day at work. 2x 100s (2.22), 6 x 50s

Alternating walking and shuffling whilst dog walking. Not sure if I'm ready for this.

SSP(50) 50s did no stretching beforehand.

Calf has recovered from Sunday, things are looking up! Have entered some middle distance races.

Orienteering 54:05 [1] 4.7 km (11:30 / km) +160m 9:50 / km

Norbury Park - MV - Green
Gorgeous day and a well planned course with some good legs. Walked most of it, shuffled more on the flat as we got onto the slopes at the end as my kind of terrain. A couple of 5 secs. Could get to like this sport!

Have spent 5 plus minutes daily balancing on one leg and variations for the last week, seems to be best active exercise at the moment.
