Time limited ride out to Peaslake & BKB x 2 with C. Annoyingly messed up route at Lockhart yet again & took FP to compensate with glorious views. New PB by 20s on BKB- still woeful on downhill parts. Back mainly on roads. PBs on most of the offroad segments, most due to reduced mud. HR erratic, fine following day.

C stronger than me on hills & roads. We've reached the tipping point of no return, except my incentive of 3 x 3hr MTB races in April!

Swinley Red & Blue from Kings Ride with C. No falls, possibly not a foot down & just one gently shouldered tree- a lot of progress in 13 months.
Yet again we passed the C fire station and there were police cars everywhere cordoning off a road we passed, just after C had commented on the errie sound of an ice cream van- couldn't make it up. At least we weren't on our bikes riding in the dark this time, with dodgy kids fleeing with large dogs.

Out to Blackheath and back onto E side of St Martha's for the trails.
Legs not great, there again HR was higher than usual.
Mud drying well in the strong winds. Bike still needed cleaning, even though the route was designed to keep away from the worst- best laid plans.

First ride with C after his accident. Plan was an hour but one thing led to another on an adlib ride that worked out to be a great route, including 3 x BKB. 80% of mud was frozen making for ideal if bone shaking conditions. C wiped out in front of me and fortunately neatly rolled over, rather than going back to A & E. Back was fine for 2 hrs, then tightened.

Ironic pelvis is swivelling perfectly yet pain continues, suggesting a ligament has been damaged.

Saw chiro again. Conclusion was I'd stretched the ligament below R pelvis, so no quick fix this time. Probably happened falling on R hip on Sunday rather more usual L even though it was a soft fall.

Note

Significant pain from sciatica behind R pelvis. Not the first time but far worse and rest of back seems well aligned and no apparent muscle spasm either. Did fall once yesterday gently on soft ground and felt neck whiplash sideways- sure it's not related.
