Hip bursitis barely effected by Sunday which is very encouraging.

R calf has symptoms of previous chronic nerve entrapment. Hopefully it's just fluid pressing on nerve rather than the first stages of scar tissue forming around it.

ahr:138 max:158 shoes: Giant XTC

Level X via Chantries, Chilworth, Blackheath circuit and then punctured! Lowered pressures from 45 to 35 beforehand and felt in control throughout, so much fun until puncture. Trudged and rode back 4 miles on tire covered rim. Fortunately had three inserts that went in R mtb shoes. R calf not happy. Put gel on, fingers crossed it's not b*******

Got kitted up and opened the door with mtb in hand and saw the rain had arrived early. A mudfest, never mind the rain, was enough to scurry back indoors.

Beyond Newlands. Nice afternoon and got HR high and quads working hard. RC not ideal on way back with thick claggy clay, most which flew off on the road section.

Note

Hip soreness fortunately plateaued 48 hrs after Sunday, but bursitis is still lurking. Will try to ride from home or work to allow gel to be put on straight afterwards.

Loxwood TT course w/o "the hill". Felt nothing from hip until 20mins into drive home. Plan to put voltarol gel on at home afterwards scuppered by broken CH, so had lukewarm bath then gel. 5 degs with stiff northerly but well wrapped up. Great to be out!
