West Point Day 1
Beautiful weather and very nice area.
Didn't feel very agile today but completely took myself out of the game with a 3 min mistake at the 5th. After I resisted the course setters traps at 1st and 4th I finally made the mistake and punched the control ca 100m too early, also at the cliff and visible from 300+ meter. Even went further to 6 (with a parallel control there as well) but it just didn't match anymore. As I hadn't checked the control numbers I went back to 5 and continued from there. Nobody else to blame than myself... (which makes it even worse;)
Added another uncertainty at 9, a 1.5min to 11 and I probably lost some more time in the more physical uphills towards the end.

Nice O session in Huntington State park.
Tried to push a bit more physically and almost immediately paid the price for it. Still glad that physically it went surprisingly well vs my (low) expectations. Will require some more controls to find the right mix of safety stops in this type of terrain.

- Unclean direction after control 1 (15-20 sec)
- Uncertain but ok towards 3
- missed direction, to other hill to 4 (20-30sec)
- uncertain and standing still on the ridge next to 6 (40-50sec)
- unclean execution of route to 7 (20-30sec)
- detour in re-entrant before 9 (20-30sec)
- left swing before 10 into earlier depression (2-2.5min)
The 2min mistake seemed to have woken me up a bit. As of there it went smoother with only adding another 15sec in the circle at 15
