Steady start from Ben, Mick and Ant to hand over to me in 6th place, although 5th place was almost 10 mins ahead and the rest... too far to contemplate.
Set off with purpose up the first hill and was safe through the first few short legs, using new compass and gorse patches well. Had to walk some of the steep climb en route to #9 but was clean through the following quarry section. Passed SLOW shortly after #12. Slight hesitancy towards the end of the long leg to #14 but spotted handy gorse patch :)
Silhouette of tree on top of the hill gave a good line for #15.
Then clean through the last few other than a slight hesitancy on #17, passing SYO in the process.
Good run, posting fastest lap 4 time and bringing the team up to 4th, albeit over 30mins behind DRONGO who were leading at that stage!
Andy, Francesco and Rich proceeded to all have flyers meaning (combined with an FVO mispunch saga that kept it interesting for a while) we eventually ran out as Harvester A Relay Winners!

Went simply with the intention to collect controls but they had so few entries was coaxed into having a go myself.
Went very steadily given the forthcoming race. Couldn't find one control which Marcus also missed so something strange there. Bit of trouble with a couple of others; I'll claim map 'age'. Wood was lovely (and largely surprisingly unfamiliar).
