NGOC Mini League at Cleeve Hill
Glad to have the opportunity for a run out on a beautiful sunny day. Extended warm up after the last couple of days inactivity.
Good course, started strongly for the first couple of legs. Dropped into the feature at #3. No flag. Decided perhaps it was further on but no luck. Returned to the original place and agreed with another competitor that it was missing, assumed stolen (in actual fact it was misplaced in the small depression to the NE).
Jogged to #4 assuming the legs would be voided.
#5 easy.
#6 on a good line as I came into the top of the re entrant but then stopped short, paused, then retreated slightly as it didn't fit my mental picture. Should have just ploughed on as it was just over the edge. [60]
#7 easy.
#8 went on a pretty poor route south of the line adding extra climb that would have been better avoided. [30]
#9 more climbing - not my forte.
#10-#15 clean.
At this point Mapp got left behind so I spent some effort in trying to summon him.
Again, easy last couple of legs but then dropped too low to the finish. [10]

Mispunched as most people found #3 (many did not actually realise that it was misplaced!)
However, fastest for the first couple and from #4 to the finish (despite my error at #6) hence I'm the real winner in my mind ;)

Home for a few days leading up to a couple of concerts. Feeling very tired so this was a very sedate outing; perhaps a recovery run?

Away Match vs Corinthians B playing with Alan.
We've played better.
Lost in two vs 3rd pair. (Decent pair).
Won in three vs 2nd pair. (Mixed pair).
Lost in three vs 1st pair. (Mismatch pair).
Mick / Sam also only picked up 1 (although vs the 1st pair).
Brent / Tom also lost to the 3rd pair meaning a 5-4 loss overall. A little disappointing; however, two fixtures left and our promotion prospects are still just about intact.
