Event: JK 2012

2 PM

Orienteering race 19:02 [4] 2.7 km (7:03 / km) +30m 6:41 / km
shoes: Mudclaw

JK Day 1 M21E Sprint Livingston.
Persistent drizzle meant conditions were treacherous for those with Mudclaws on hardstanding (i.e. me). As such took the running pretty easy although still managed to miss some of the better route choices. Not a priority.

EPOC Newmillerdam Brown. Been here a few times now and it was all the same features. Still managed to mess up several controls. Body still complaining from badminton and struggled physically in the second half of the course and especially on the hills. Felt very slow but still finished quite high up the field (though 6 mins down on winner...)
Will make sure I stretch properly prior to badminton this week...

Orienteering race 29:05 [3] 3.6 km (8:05 / km) +150m 6:41 / km
shoes: Mudclaw

AIRE Harden Moor Green. Extensive warm-up which was longer than the course, in duration at least, to try and diminish significant muscle complaints following badminton on thursday which wouldn't go away. Race itself was sloppy; several poor routes and messing around. Long way down.

Running 55:00 [3] 7.0 km (7:51 / km) +250m 6:40 / km
shoes: Mudclaw

Went for a run afterwards to get some value from the trip and to try and coax my body into life. This failed.
