Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Running tempo 25:01 [4]

TOTNT - Riverdale Rally Run

Was a bit later than desired starting last night and it was weird coming home and seeing Zoolander having already logged his TNT for the night, while I was only just about to head out for mine. Same eery fog that was down in Hamilton at Riverdale.

Was going to stick with another set of intervals, but curious to see how the body would hold up through a longer tempo run. Apparently, quite well, considering a new PB and haven't run the route since June.

West Loop: 11:11.13 (Cm. 11:11.13)
East Loop: 11:13.43 (Cm. 22:24.56)
UOTV: 02:36.65 (Cm. 25:01.21)

Really focused on running smoothly and balancing push and recovery with respect towards the climbs. 6sec. off the previous PB set back in April when I was in decent shape. Could have broken 25min had it not been for a newly positioned park bench which has changed one of the Eastern loop corners from a fast gradual turn into a body-width narrow tight turn. If the bench stays there, I'll switch from tagging the baseball cage to tagging the bench itself.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

TNT - "Human Hi-Speed Lawn Croquet"
4min x4 with 1min 'off'
With the onset of fall (even despite the temperature's disrespect of seasons anymore) the flats of Riverdale West have been converted over from baseball diamonds to soccer fields. WARNING: UPCOMING MATH CONTENT, PROCEED ONLY IF NERDY... used the goal posts from two slightly offset soccer pitches for a rhombus like loop. Nice turning for the two obtuse turns, but not-so-nice on the other two acute turns.

Despite the feel that the speed wasn't there, I certainly pushed to a max effort physically as my body whinged and gasped due to my exiting cold. ...so calling this a Zn5 as I'm sure the heart rate was up even if the speed wasn't maxed.

Stairs intervals 8:00 [5]

Ten sets, alternating singles and doubles. Plus a couple minute Spanst to kick-out-the-jam.

Note
(sick)

Feels like the worst is over and just need to be careful not to resurrect the demon cold.

Note
(sick)

As much as I wanted to get a long run in, need to let this thing pass through the system with three days of resting. So instead Venus and I enjoyed the fall weather with a nice hike in the Agreement Forest by 4th and 10th out at Hilton Falls.

Gettin' my cold on ...in full effect.

Running (Commute) 20:00 [2]

Running (Commute) 14:00 [4]

Was running late (literally) for guest's arrival; so dropped the hammer straight out the door. ...caught by a couple of aggravating red lights.

Note

Feeling a cold coming on and know the weekend's gonna suck!
