Orienteering (Laramie Cowgirl Rleay) 51:19 [3] 7.2 km (7:08 / km)
shoes: O icebugs 2015

Day 2 Laramie. My plan was to run this at speed and make this a race. I wanted to keep moving an orienteer clean.
4 loops with people doing them in different orders. Then a common 5th loop. The order I did the loops was loop3, loop2, loop4, loop 1.
Loop3: I was hesitant off the start. The followed the crowd down the reentrant. Crossed the marsh and then the crown split up. I was too low and had to climb to get to the control. I was hesitant to control 2. I kept pulling up short. I was not used to the 1:15,000 scale. I was off to #3 and went to another control first. At the end of loop there were a lot of people ahead of me. I did have the long loop first.
Loop 2: Control 1 I used the control 1 from the first loop as my reference point. I was too far left going to control 2. Lost time figuring out where I was.
Loop 4: Short loop with only 2 controls. It was so short it threw me off a bit.
Loop 1: I was clean. I finally had the control I visited on other loops.
Final Loop: No one in sight ahead of me. One person right behind me. As I got closer to 1 I saw someone ahead of me., #2. I passed Ali, she was too low. #3, I hesitated on the final approach. Ali passed me back. #4: Ali and other guy went right, I went straight. Ali ran away from me. #5: Ali way ahead of me. I made up some ground as she circled around on the approach.
I finished 4th a ways behind Ali. The other guy must have run out of steam as he dropped off from me also and was a way back (5th).
