Spectating at the Monroe County XC Championships. First was the JV Boys, and Schroeder had a decent performance here, finishing 5th. The winner was to advance to Sectionals and Nick went our fairly quick and held on to 9th place.

JV Girls were next Ari and Kate went 1-3 but we only had one other girl in the race.

Varsity Boys, featuring Luke. I had to really hustle for one section of spectating, and I see that my pace got as low as 6:47 on that stretch. Luke ran well and was only 69 seconds behind Ben (he was 77 seconds behind at McQuaid where he ran quite well). He was only 12 seconds slower than McQuaid, despite the extra 0.1 mile, the sloppy course and the cold and rain.

Varsity Girls race. This did not go quite as well as hoped, so they finished 9th. I haven't checked to see where the most points were lost, but the team seemed more spread out than usual. Sofia (the 7th grader) made all-county, but Jamie missed by 0.5 seconds.

Varsity B boys - only 3 runners, and I didn't do the extra spot as I was getting worn out.

5 min jog / 1 min walk thru some light rain in Salem before heading off to game 2 of the World Series at Fenway, which was a nice 4-2 win over the Dodgers. It was great to finally see my two favorite teams meet in the Series!
I think it still counts as a comeback win for the Sox, even though it happened in the 5th inning.
