Running long 1:30:48 [3] 9.65 mi (9:25 / mi) +120m 9:04 / mi

Warm and superhumid. I did not care about the pace today, just making it around the route.

Running warm up/down 6:12 [2] 0.29 mi (21:41 / mi) +1m 21:27 / mi

Running 50:23 [3] 6.03 mi (8:21 / mi) +35m 8:12 / mi

I have not run for over a week, but I have still kept pretty physically active. The hiking of course, but I did at least 5-8 hours of walking each day in Quebec.

So a mix of feeling my legs being rested but also pain in having them to move faster.

Running warm up/down 7:09 [2] 0.29 mi (24:45 / mi) +19m 20:33 / mi

Note

Heading back the backroads towards Boston. Interesting to see the country side of Quebec, and discovering that they do a ton of mining. There were these enormous pile of gravel and earth as you were driving through the countryside between Quebec City and the New Hampshire border.

We went through customs at the only border control in New Hampshire. It was manned by one person. We were the only car there.

Note

Going out of the city to Montmorency Falls and Basilica of Sainte-Anne de Beaupre. In the afternoon, we walked to a great farmers market and anitques market, plus we went to the Civilization Museum.

Note

Big day of walking in Quebec City. We went to upper city, Plains of Abraham, the parliament, old city, Notre Dame de Quebec, Place Royale and lower city.

After heading back to the hotel, we head a great dinner in the regular downtown area and went to the free Cirque de Soleil show. They had setup a temporary stage under some highway passes. They had spared no expense though as it was a full on show just as elaborate as their regular one (I have been to one of them in Las Vegas). It was pretty amazing.

Note

Heading up from Franconia to Quebec City. Got on the small roads at Trois-Revieres into Quebec City. Walking around old Quebec City for a few hours at arrival.

Backpack about 35 pounds.
