On the treadmill. I wanted to see how long l could keep running at 9mph. Not very long was the answer.

Some additional mileage.

A little bit discouraging when the guy beside me ran 10 mph as resting pace and went to 14.1 mph when speeding up.

A short but little bit faster run to lose up legs after a lot of hiking.
