My wife and I started to do the 4000 footers in the white mountains last year, and we did another one today. We did Mount Tecumseh, which is the lowest of the 48 official ones. We hiked from the Waterville Valley ski area up the main hiking trail, about a 2000 feet climb. After climbing up to the summit, we went out on the Susman trail and went down via the ski trails. Here is the list so far:

Lafayette 5260 9/4/2010
Lincoln 5089 9/4/2010
Moosilauke 4802 7/3/2010
Tecumseh 4003 5/29/2011

We expect to do at least 8 more this year, but it will be a few years before we are able to finish all of them.

A faster but shorter run. I was totally out of energy after the run though.

Running 1:31:11 [4] 9.8 mi (9:18 / mi) +167m 8:50 / mi
rhr:50 slept:7.5

The run went better than I thought based on my previous runs this past week. Avg 8.36 min/mile for first 7 miles, and 8.46 min/mile for first 8 miles. After that (when the hills started) I was way too tired, and I had to even walk up a few hills, avg over 11 min/mile for the last bit. Trying to recover for the half marathon next week, so I can run the whole distance, and it feels like I am half way there.

I did fairly ok for the first 3 miles, but then my legs were totally done with, and the last part of the route was pretty painful.
