Note

I was able to make it into work today but ankle still tender and trouble walking. I taped the foot to prevent any additional misstep. Better than yesterday though.

Note

Fail today at the Billygoat. Just five minutes into the course, I turned my ankle. I haven't done anything in a long time, so I thought it would be safe to go without a brace, but I was obviously proven wrong quickly. It was as bad as I have ever done it, and I could not put any weight on it for the first couple of minutes, and only marginal better after that. It was quickly apparent that this was not one of those times where you can walk it off and then continue.

Local meet at Nobscot. This place must have the nicest woods in Eastern Mass. The map is mostly white (real white, not New England white), and is extremely runnable.

It felt like I moved at a more normal speed than I have since my injury. It felt great being able to push some speed.

Sluggish today. Could feel it from step one that my muscles would not cooperate today.

First time running on the Boston Common so that was a lot of fun. Impressed that we had e-punches today. The controls were amazingly well hidden behind features as well, so you had to know what tree you were going to.
